Sunday Links: Buddy Holly - Plus: The MBIP Coming Attractions!

by MBIP

Today is singer/songwriter Buddy Holly’s birthday. He would’ve been 89-years-old today, but as most people know, this influential rock and roll musician died in a place crash in 1959 when he was at the height of his career and just 23-years-old.

Buddy Holly had a short musical career, but the musicians he inspired is never-ending. A short list includes, The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, The Hollies, Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen, Elvis Costello and the Grateful Dead.

In honor of this influential musician, who along with Chuck Berry was one of the first rock and roll artists to write his own songs, I’ve got links to six online articles about Buddy Holly and a video link with an interview he did with Dick Clark back in 1958.

Plus, there’s also the MBIP Coming Attractions as to what’s happening on the blog next week!
