Now, please welcome this week’s host, the Friendly Valley Tavern!

Here we are at the Friendly Valley Tavern, a popular spot in the summertime because there’s live music here every weekend!

If the parking lot is full, just park around the corner at Landmark and take the shuttle bus here, it’s only a momentary wait to be whisked back and forth.

Okay, let’s go in and start our Saturday night!

There’s the bar and Brian is behind it and he flashed a friendly smile for the ever-present MBIP Camera!

Here’s a shot from the end of the bar and there’s the quartet of beers on tap behind the bar.

There’s tables opposite the bar and gaming machines at the end of the room for all of you gamblers out there.

There’s a large beer porch outside and I ran into Brian out here who’s helping to set up for tonight’s show. Great to see him here.

Speaking of tonight’s show, there’s the special musical guests for the evening, The Henhouse Prowlers doing their sound check. They sound fabulous, I can’t wait for the show!

As you can see, they have a wall of merch consisting of wonderfully designed t-shirts!

I came early to get some shots of the fabulous grounds of the Friendly Valley Tavern before the crowd shows up.

My friend Matt just finished up doing the landscapring work behind him, it looks beautiful! Nice work, Matt!

Here’s the man himself, the owner of the Friendly Valley Tavern, Sean Kenny! Sean also owns and operates Kenny’s Westside Pub in downtown Peoria.

I was so happy when I found out Sean bought the Friendly Valley Tavern a couple of years ago. He’s turned it into a true summer destination with these fabulous musical events that happen every weekend.

Both the Friendly Valley Tavern and Kenny’s Westside Pub are places that are so much more than just a place to stop and get a drink, like I said, they are destinations that people come to for the experience and one-of-a-kind good times that happen at both spots.

Thank you Sean for all you’ve done for Peoria and the fun times that happen here and at Kenny’s Westside Pub!

That Bald Guy food truck was here this evening, so I went up and ordered my Saturday night dinner from Michelle, who flashed a pretty smile for the MBIP Camera!

I went back and said hi to James, That Bald Guy and owner of this mobile restaurant and catering business.

They have their own barbecue sauces, so I put a slathering on my pork chop sandwich and it was so juicy and flavorful! A delicious treat on this Saturday night!

As you can see, the crowd has arrived and I saw Jeff and Martha, the owners of Trefzger’s Bakery in the crowd and went over and said hi to them and took a photo of their fabulous smiling faces!

Okay, it’s just about showtime here at the Friendly Valley Tavern!

This guy was dancing with his pet pooch and there’s Sean’s lovely wife, Hayley, who’s showing up a little late because she was at a birthday party. Wonderful to see her pretty and smiling face!
