Live, from Peoria Illinois, it’s Saturday Night, starring this week’s host, Big Behm’s Sports Bar and featuring special guest stars, Amber, Joe, Katie, Cathy and Kristi!
Now please welcome this week’s host, Big Behm’s Sports Bar!
Here we are at Big Behm’s Sports Bar. If you’re a long-time MBIP reader, this place may look familiar. That’s because it used to be No Wake Zone, owned by Pete and Linda Clarno and was a frequent stop back in the day. Here’s a post from their fourth anniversary in this building back in 2016.
It’s now Big Behm’s Sports Bar and this is the second phase for this bar and I’ll explain more when we get inside and start our Saturday night in Peoria’s newest sports bar here on Galena Road! Let’s get inside!
Speaking of familiar, I think I recognize these two people over here at this table…
It’s my friends Amber and Joe and they’re the special Saturday Night guest stars for the evening!
It’s always fun to have them along for the Saturday festivities and they’re looking fabulous as always!
Katie brought me a beer and she’s not only our server tonight, she owns Big Behm’s Sports Bar! Sports bars run in her blood as her parents owned the original Big Behm’s when it was located in Pioneer Park.

We started off with an appetizer order of breaded mushrooms and they were a tasty start to our Saturday night dinner.
Cathy stopped by our table to say hi and it was great to see her again! Cathy and her husband Tim were the owners of the original Big Behm’s (Tim is Big Behm) and I first met Cathy and Tim way back in 2013! Check out this post from the original Big Behm’s in Pioneer Park! Hard to believe that was twelve years ago!
Great to see Cathy again and catch up on things! She said she’s very proud of Katie for opening up the second generation run Big Behm’s!
Cathy brought us over two complimentary appetizers, Sweet Potato Kegs and Cheese Bites. They were delicious and thanks to Cathy for bringing those over!
There’s Amber and Joe enjoying the appetizers and Amber said the Sweet Potato Kegs tasted like S’mores!
They have a nice, spacious bar in the front of the room and there’s the half a dozen beers on tap.
There’s a pool table off to the side of the dining room and dart machines line the wall on the other side.
I ran into Kristi in my travels and she’s Katie’s sister, Big Behm’s is a family place and she has a beautiful smile just like her sister!
The walls have beautiful murals on them and they were done by local artist, Megan Couri. Wonderful work and nice to see Big Behm’s utilizing a local artist!
Meanwhile, back at our table…
Our Saturday night dinner is served!
I got the Big League Philly which is their version of a Philly Cheese Steak and it’s served with Waffle Fries.
Amber and Joe split an order of the Logan’s Load Up which is house-fried tortilla chips topped with a generous portion of pico de gallo and jalapeno peppers. It comes with sour cream and salsa.
