Alright, we’re up to the Spinal Tappish 11th week and so I thought we’d travel downtown to try a hot dog at The Ice Cream Shack. In the words of Spinal Tap: “You’re a mean one, saucy Shack!” Well, something like that!

Hot diggity dog, let’s head to downtown Peoria and this post will go to eleven!

Here we are at The Ice Cream Shack in downtown Peoria. Those Bacon Cheese Fries sound tasty, we may have to try those out!

As you can see, it’s a rainy afternoon here in downtown P-Town.

But the rain hasn’t stopped people from coming to The Ice Cream Shack! Check out the line to the ordering window!

We’ll take a few photos while that line calms down.

There’s the food menu and the hot dog is at the top of the food chain here, just like it should be!

The colorful logo is featured on both side windows and there’s the condiment row on display.

The “More Parking In Rear” reminds me of this classic “rear” sign!

Okay, it’s all clear at the front window and the lovely Ayanna took my hot dog order and flashed a beautiful smile for the MBIP Camera. I love it when that happens!

As I mentioned, it’s kind of rainy and drizzly out here, so I decided to sit over here on this bench that has a nice roof over it. It’ll keep us nice and dry and prevent us from having a soggy hot dog moment out here!

There’s this week’s hot dog lunch, let’s dig in and enjoy the treats of the week!

I got a butterscotch flavored milkshake and it was so tasty, thick and creamy! A sweet start to this week’s hot dog lunch!

Here’s the aforementioned Bacon Cheese Fries and oh my god were these a tasty and delightful order of fries.

The cheese sauce was rich and tasty and the bacon was so crisp and savory. This is freshly cooked bacon bits, not something tossed from a can and these are some of the tastiest French fries I have ever had. It makes me think I may want to try a French fry tour after the Dog Days Of Summer 2025 tour is over in the fall!

Okay, on to the 11th hot dog of this tour. They’re certainly generous with the chopped onions, I can’t even see the hot dog underneath!

This was a nice, beefy hot dog. The bun was soft and bakery fresh and it was tasty and very satisfying on this drizzly afternoon in downtown Peoria.
