Wow, hard to believe, but this cheesy tour is coming to a close in a couple weeks! We’re up to the 21st week of our 23 week grilled cheese tour and this week we head to Bartonville and we’ve got a special guest star for this episode.
Let’s hit the road and find out where this week’s grilled cheese experience is happening and meet this week’s grilled cheese guest star!
Here we are at this week’s cheesy destination, Peacock’s Pub in Bartonville.
And there’s our pretty guest star for this week’s grilled cheese meal, my friend, Marie!
There she is leading the way in, let’s follow and start this week’s grilled cheese expedition in Bartonville!
It’s nice in here and as you can see there’s a nice crowd tonight!
We ran into the owner of Peacock’s Pub, Loren at the end of the bar along with his son, Connor.
They said they’ve been having a great summer here at Peacock’s Pub and were excited to have us try their grilled cheese sandwich!
Marie and I sat down at a table and Megan was quick to deliver us a couple beers and then took our grilled cheese order.
Cheers, Marie! Thanks for joining us this week and thanks for driving to this week’s cheesy destination!
There’s a shot from the end of the bar and the quartet of beers on tap.
Tables line the wall opposite the bar and back in the corner is a discreet gaming room for all of you gamblers out there.
There’s a back room with a full dining room and…
Another bar to sit and enjoy some cocktails and food.
Meanwhile, back at our table…
Our appetizer order has magically appeared, I love it when that happens!
We got an order of Fried Ravioli that comes with their house-made marinara sauce. It was a delicious start to tonight’s grilled cheese meal!
And speaking of grilled cheese sandwiches, here they are in all of their cheesy and grilled goodness!
Marie got her grilled cheese with Swiss cheese, bacon and grilled onion and she said it was delicious!
She also said her side of Tater Tots were fabulous!
I got French Fries on the side and they were fresh cut fries and tasted wonderful!
I went with the Grilled Cheese Deluxe which is American and habanero cheese with bacon on Texas toast. It looks fantastic, let’s dig in!
This was a delicious grilled cheese creation!
The two melted cheeses were rich and the habanero cheese added a little kick to the sandwich.
The bacon was smokey and savory and it was housed in buttered and perfectly grilled Texas Toast!

CHEESY RATING
(4 Slice Rating System)
Their Deluxe Grilled Cheese gets a deluxe rating of three and three quarters slices of cheese! A wonderful grilled cheese sandwich and the sides and Fried Ravioli were equally impressive.
Peacock’s Pub is open seven days a week for lunch and dinner and you should stop by this locally owned Bartonville Pub for a cold drink and some tasty food soon!
Thanks to Loren and everyone at Peacock’s Pub for a fun evening and for the delicious food!
And thanks to Marie for driving and for joining me for this cheesy evening! Always fun to hang out with her!
