Okay, we’ve been to two bars in bowling alleys in Peoria, The Tilted Ten in the Northwoods Mall and Mt. Hawley Bowl in Pioneer Park. But we’ve never been to one outside of Peoria and all of that changes tonight as we head to Plaza Lanes in Washington, Illinois. Let’s…you know…roll!

Bar Number 204: Plaza Lanes, Tuesday, September 1, 2036
Here we are at Plaza Lanes, which the sign says is a “Bowlers Mart.” I’ve never heard of a bowling alley call themselves that and if you add a “Y” to the end of that, perhaps I’d get a royalty…or maybe a free bowling game…or something!
Oh well, let’s go in and see what’s happening in Plaza Lanes tonight.
There’s the bowling lanes, but we’re not here to bowl, we’re here to find…

The bar!
They have a nice and cozy bar tucked away over here. There’s plenty of open seats, so let’s snag one and get settled in for this evening!
Jeff was the friendly bartender on duty and here he is serving me up a blueberry White Claw drink.
I had a nice chat with Jeff at the bar about the bowling alley and other life-related topics.
There’’s the four beers on tap behind the bar and I think this is the first bar to offer up Jello Shots! I’m going to pass on those because I’m driving tonight, so no shots for me! Somewhere, Bill Cosby is disappointed…but what are you going to do? (And yes, the “Instant Pudding” link was a subtle reference to Bill’s non-Jello related activities.)
Gaming machines line the wall opposite the bar for all of you gamblers out there.
I ventured out of the bar area to get a shot of the tables and bowling lanes and they have a full menu here if you’ve worked up an appetite while bowling.
There’s an arcade room over here with lots of games and a laser tag room. Tarek was working behind the counter and he let me take a photo of him back there. Very nice to meet and chat with him!
Meanwhiile, back at the bar…
I got a can of Super Lyte Vodka-Ade and it was delicious!

I had a Blueberry White Claw and a Super Lyte Vodka Ade and they were both refreshing and delicious drinks. A nice change from the usual beer drinks!
