Ding, ding, ding…the ever important Donation Bell has rung today and it has rung loudly!

My friend, Wes Meuth sent in a very generous donation of 99 dollars!

His note accompanying the donations read as follows: “99 bottles of beer on the wall. 99 bottles of beer. Take one down, pass it around, 98 bottles of beer on the wall. . . Stay thirsty my friend!”

My friend, Jim (A.K.A. Vern) has volunteered to be a driver and a special guest star on some bars that are outside of Peoria. I need to hit quite a few bars outside of the city of Peoria, because there’s not 365 bars in Peoria and we need to be throwing these places into the mix so we don’t run out of Peoria bars with a couple months left to go in this journey of 365 bars.

Tonight we travel to Germantown Hills and so it’s off we go for our 39th night of this saucy tour!

Number 39: Germantown Grille, Tuesday, February 17, 2026

And like magic, here we are at The Germantown Grille in Germantown Hills, just minutes outside of Peoria.

Let’s go in and begin our 39th night of 365 bars!

They have a nice dining room in here, which we’ll see later in the post, but for now, let’s belly up to the bar and get a drink!

Ask and ye shall receive!

There’s Kaitlyn, the pretty and friendly bartender on duty tonight delivering the first beer of the evening!

And there he is, the aforementioned, Jim (Vern) at the bar. He’s looking good and all decked out for Fat Tuesday! Always fun to have him along!

Here’s the view from where we’re perched at the bar.

As you can see, they have a large selection of beers on tap!

There’s a gaming room opposite the bar for all of you gamblers out there.

Here’s a shot of the large wooden bar from the other side. As you can see, it’s an impressive and sturdy bar!

There’s dining tables on both sides of the bar and there’s a photo of the main dining room, I mentioned at the beginning of this post.

There’s a Clubhouse room over here and I’m guessing you can rent this room out for private parties. I guess I could’ve asked, but I didn’t want to get that investigative tonight. What, do I look like Mike Wallace or something? Sheesh!

Meanwhile, back at the bar, here’s, Cassandra, Lizzy and Kaitlyn at the bar.

We had a nice conversation about the blog, other bars in the area and the fact that Cassandra and Kaitlyn look like twin sisters, but in reality they’re not related! Great to meet and chat with all three of these pretty ladies!
