Here we are at Hearth Restaurant. In addition to serving up delicious, gourmet food Hearth has the largest selection of whiskey in Peoria and they also have a wall of wine.
Let’s go in and let this Saturday Night adventure start unfolding!
Rachel was the Hostess for the evening and when I asked if I could sit at the bar, she pointed at an empty chair at the end of the bar and told me I was more than welcome to have a seat there.
I love it when things work out like this!
Sammy was bartending and she promptly served me up an ice-cold drink.
She looks cute in her mask and she told me that she’s been at Hearth for a little over a year and she loves it here.
I mentioned that Hearth has the largest whiskey selection in Peoria and these photos behind the bar prove it!
There’s a row of whiskey bottles near the tin ceiling in here, talk about top-shelf whiskey!

This is a smoked chicken leg and thigh quarter.
It’s three pieces of juicy and tasty chicken that is unlike any chicken I’ve ever had!
The chicken is marinated in bourbon and then cooked with a smoked maple glaze, giving it a somewhat sweet and smoky savory flavor. It is so tasty and delicious!
It was simply amazing!
It’s served with brown sugar rosemary carrots that are grilled and I got the signature Gratin Dauphinois potatoes too.
The potatoes are cut thinly and are swimming in a delightful cream sauce and topped off with a layer of melted cheese. They were rich and downright decadent!
What a wonderful meal and a fabulous night at Hearth Restaurant.
