Sadly the restaurants and bars are still closed, but that doesn’t mean you can’t pick up a tasty sandwich and enjoy it while you’re waiting this challenging time out at home.
There’s a lot of bars and restaurants offering pick-up and curb-side service and here’s a list of some of them in the area.
today we’re spotlighting a tasty sandwich I had from Kenny’s Westside Pub back in the summer of 2017.
Here we are at Kenny’s Westside Pub in beautiful downtown Peoria.
As you can see, they have a large menu with so many tempting entrees, but this evening I went for the Irish Sausage Sandwich, which I had never sampled before.
And whoomp, here it is. I got a side of Cole Slaw with the sandwich and it was crispy and had just a pinch of spice as well.
Now on to the main course!
This is a delicious and satisfying sandwich. The sausage is really flavorful and spicy and it’s topped with melted habanero cheese, grilled onions and peppers. And the bun is toasted and bakery fresh.
This is Irish comfort food at its finest hour.
After I enjoyed the sandwich, my friends Amber and Joe showed up and we enjoyed an order of chicken wings, which were equally delicious!
