Sandwiches Of Peoria - This Week: The Shack Burger With Cheese @ Emo’s Ice Cream Shack

by MBIP

Since spring is about to be sprung, I thought I’d spotlight a sandwich at a seasonal spring/summer Peoria institution: Emo’s Ice Cream Shack.

Back in 2015 I went there and got a Shack Burger with Cheese and it was such a delicious sandwich! I also got the chili-cheese fries and you can see photos of this delicious meal and a link to the original link by scrolling downwards!

As you can see, there was a big crowd on that Saturday night in 2015.

This is the quartet of the pretty young women working at Emo’s that evening, from left: Charlotte, Karen, Miranda and Kaitlynn.

There’s the meal, bagged up and ready to be taken to a nearby table.

There’s the Shack Burger with Cheese, chili-cheese fries and I got a caramel milkshake to wash it down with. Let’s take a close look at that sandwich!

The Shack Burger is a loose meat burger and I got it topped with melted cheese. The beef is savory and tasty and the cheese was delightfully drippy and encased in steamed bakery-fresh bun.

Emo’s is open now, so I need to stop by soon and get this meal again!

The chili-cheese fries were spicy, tangy and delicious!
