Okay, I’ve eaten some pretty horrific stuff here on this Fast Food Friday series, one only has to be reminded of this post to hammer this point home! So this week I thought I’d go to a fast food place and get something that I know is good and that place is Steak ‘n Shake and the dish I’m getting is their Chili Mac. I call it Chili Crack though because once you start eating it, you’ll crave it forever! When I lived in New York I would always look forward to coming home at Christmas and going for a traditional holiday lunch with my parents to Steak ‘n Shake for my yearly fix of Chili Crack. One thing I’ve never done is get an order of Chili Crack to go and taken it home, so this will be interesting to see how they package it up! So let’s hit the road and find out on yet another edition of Fast Food Friday!
I’m getting an order of Chili Crack and a small order of French Fries, so this is the combined information for both orders: Calories: 1440, Sodium is 3260mg, which is kind of off the charts because your suggested daily sodium intake is, 1500mg, so you might want to go salt free for a few days after eating this meal! The total cost for both items is $6.15.
How Fast Is It Really?
Okay, so I had to wait in line for over six minutes and by the time I finally placed my order it was 1:45 in the afternoon. Then I had to wait behind three cars to get up to the window and then I had to wait what seemed like seven minutes beyond forever to finally get the fucking food! Check out the line behind me in my rear view mirror! Maybe Steak ‘n Shake is trying to prove that they’re not really fast food at all, because this service is slower than a geriatric slug crawling through quicksand!
Nine minutes later and I finally got the order. This better be worth it, because now I’m in a pretty shitty mood. Oh well, at least we’re just minutes away from the MBIP World Headquarters.
I couldn’t find a picture of Chili Crack and French Fries together, but here’s one of the Chili Crack. This will have to do because after all of that time waiting, I’m starving like this guy!
Here’s the Chili Crack and French Fries on the official MBIP serving plate. I really like the way everything is packaged, it’s quite impressive! The Chili Crack is in a sturdy dish with a nice plastic protective cover. I love the circular cardboard box that the fries come in! That’s so much classier than the usual greasy sack that most places put them in. There’s also two packs of crackers and I was pleasantly surprised that they were thoughtful enough to include a little container of Parmesan cheese! I really like Parmesan cheese on my Chili Crack and wasn’t expecting any in a take-home package! This is an outstanding presentation!
This is the Chili Crack uncovered. I got it with extra sauce and it looks and smells heavenly!
Would You Like Some Fries With That?
Yes, please! The fries are really delicious! Crisp and lightly salted and not greasy at all! Now on to the main course!
The Chili Crack
I always use both packets of crackers and liberally sprinkle the Paremsan cheese on top. Then I mix it all together.
The First Bite
This is so delicious! It’s tastier and more satisfying than eating a hot caramel sundae off of Barbi Benton’s tits and if you don’t know who Barbi Benton is, well check her out here. Those tits were made for eating a caramel sundae off of, I tell ya! And look at this, I found a picture of her gazing at a little monkey! Check it out, I think she’s going to make out with him! Here she is with the whole monkey family and that bird behind me reminds me of that fucking bird at the Bronx Zoo! I hated that fucking bird! Oh...wait, where were we? Oh, the Chili Crack...it’s delicious!
