I was driving around yesterday looking for a place to go and pick a random person for this week’s People Of Peoria segment and drove in to the Clubs at River City (check out their website here and their facecrack page here.) I walked inside and was introduced to Erin, who’s the manager of membership services, among other duties. Erin agreed to be this week’s random Peorian in our on-going People Of Peoria series and you can read more about her and see her official POP portrait below!

While chatting with Erin, I found out she’s the granddaughter of Lee O’Connell who founded the Clubs at River City and is a longtime friend of my dad! Her dad Dan runs the club now and I remember going to swimming parties at her grandfather’s house as a kid! That’s the fun thing about doing this blog, you can meet a total stranger and then find out you have these connections! Now it’s on to the weekly Peoria Favorite Five List!

Do you have a favorite PJ Star writer? No, I would’ve said Adam Duvall, but he’s not there anymore.
What’s your favorite song to work out to? Hang on, I have to go get my phone. (At this point Erin went to get her phone and then she returned with the aforementioned phone. I love it when things work out like this!) Here it is, “Skywalker” by Miguel.
Who’’s your favorite Peoria person? My grandfather, Lee O’Connell! In addition to founding the Clubs at River City, he’s done a lot for Bradley, Family House and St. Jude. He’s an inspiring person!
What’s your favorite curse word? Shit. It’s the most versatile of all of them!
Who would you like to give a shout out to? Peoria Toyota, my husband Simon is a salesman for them.
