Alright, tonight we’re hitting the road to Chillicothe with my friend Jim behind the wheel. Jim is the man formerly known as Vern Damico and is now being called Karl.

He chose tonight’s bar which is the MoonTower Bar and Grill in Chillicothe. And so it’s off to Chillicothe we go!

The MoonTower Bar and Grill in Chillicothe, Illinois!

They opened in 2022 and it used to be called Bananas Beach Bar.

It’s quite a sprawling building!

Let’s go up the stairway to MoonTower…

The bar is over in this room and Karl has already found a spot for us to sit in for the evening.

Sarah was the pretty and friendly bartender on duty and here she is serving me up an ice cold can of Pabst Blue Ribbon! Cheers to Chad Wallace!

There’s Karl at the bar enjoying his drink and he’s wearing a t-shirt that he got when we had a fun visit to Carrigan’s Pub on their karaoke night!

There’s a gaming area over in this corner and there’s the daily specials available at MoonTower.

This room next to the bar has a pool table and a state of the art dartboard.

There’s a nice patio area out front with tables and chairs to look at the spectacular view of the Illinois River.

Meanwhile, back at the bar, a pizza pie is served up and it looks delicious! They have a full menu here, but the cook had left early, so we enjoyed this frozen pizza pie!
