Okay, time for our weekly Friday lunch and this week we’re heading off to The Fox Pub, which has been doing business out in Pioneer Park since 2009.
And we have a Friday luncheon guest star who you’ll meet as soon as we get there, so let’s get going already!

Bar Number 70: The Fox Pub, Friday, March 20
Here we are at The Fox Pub and they have tables and chairs out on the patio since the weather has warmed up. We’ll be going inside though because our destination this afternoon is…
The bar!
I checked out the taps menu and chose a draft beer for today!
And there’s bartender Chris serving it up with a friendly smile! I can’t remember the name of the beer, but it was delicious!
I love the customized pint glass it’s served in! Cheers!
Chris (yes, so far everyone is named Chris today!) was seated close by and it turns out we have a mutual friend in Brian Carroll!
Brian was a musical guest star on the blog when we visited Peacock’s Pub and Chris showed me an old album cover of one of Brian’s earlier bands, Rumour Hazzit, that he had discovered! Very cool and nice to meet and chat with Chris! And hello, Brian if you happened to be reading this!
As you can see, they have a huge selection of beers on tap in here and they rotate them frequently.
There’s some of the old tap handles on display above the door.

And, as promised, here’s our special Friday guest star, Jeff Putnam!
Jeff and I have been friends since the early ‘90’s and it’s always great to see him and catch up on things!
Now it’s time to order our Friday lunch!
While lunch is being prepared, I’ll abandon our guest star to take some photos in here.
There’s the large dining room directly behind the bar.
The Fox Pub is Peoria’s only British themed pub and to accentuate that fact, there’s a Guinness sign, framed drawings of the Fab Four, British pillows and and an English telephone booth in here.
There’s yet another dining room in this room back here.
Meanwhile, back at the bar…
Lunch is served!
Jeff was feeling a little fishy, so he got a Tuna Wrap with a side of Tuna Salad. Charlie would be proud of him!
I got an order of the Chicken and Chips with BBQ sauce. Everything looks fantastic!
There’s Jeff digging in to his Tuna feast! He said it was a delicious lunch.
My Chicken and Chips were very tasty too and the BBQ sauce complimented the chicken perfectly!
