I thought I’d return to the Reddit “Peoria bomb ass snack” thread to look for an idea for this week’s destination to pick up some snacks.
Someone suggested the Dollar Tree and I’ve never been in that place. Okay, to the MBIP Mobile we go!
Here we are at the Dollar Tree store on Lake Street in Evergreen Square.
As I said, I’ve never been in here, so let’s go in and check it out!
It certainly looks like a Dollar Tree in here, let’s go find some snacks.
Wow, check it out, they have a whole “Snack Zone” area in here filled with low-priced snacks!
We’ll choose a few and then head back to MBIP World Headquarters to sample them.

Snack Number One: Jack Links Jalapeno Chicken Bites
I’ve seen Jack Links beef jerky, but I’ve never seen their chicken bites and since this is Friday Bites!, this is the perfect snack to start off with!
Wow, there’s only six tiny chicken bites in the entire bag! Good thing it was only a buck!
These didn’t have any flavor and it was kind of like eating a tasteless tiny chicken gizzard. They were labeled “Jalapeno,” but there really wasn’t any heat. Next!

Snack Number Two: Lance Nekot Peanut Butter Snack Cookies
This is a good deal, there’s six packs of four sandwich cookies, so you get 24 cookies for a little over a buck!
One thing I was wondering about was the name, “Nekot.” So I did a search and found my answer right here!
There’s a leaning tower of Nekot peanut butter sandwich cookies!
I really liked these, they call them cookies, but it’s really a rich cracker and the peanut butter has a sweet flavor to it. Very tasty and you get 24 of them for a little over a buck! Highly recommended!

Snack Number Three: Salted Caramel Brownie Brittle
I thought I’d end this week’s snacking session with a sweet treat and this Brownie Brittle looks fantastic, let’s open it up and check it out!
I poured them into the bowl and these are a little bit of a disappointment to look at.
I mean, this is how they look on the front of the bag…
And here’s the snack in real life. They didn’t really have much flavor and weren’t that sweet, but they only cost a buck, so I shouldn’t complain, but I still am!
At least the peanut butter crackers were tasty and we discovered a new spot to buy some snacks at with inexpensive prices. I will return to the Dollar Tree for more snacking action in the future!
