Okay, the Spinal Rib tour is over and it definitely went to eleven, but now it’s time to start another food tour, because that’s what we do here on Tuesday’s at MBIP!
The only problem is that it’s got to be a super short tour. We’ve only got one week left in April and then two weeks in May and I’m going to be taking the third week in May off and then Memorial Day happens and I have to start the annual MBIP Dog Days Of Summer 2025 tour, after that. These are the rules!
I was stressing because I couldn’t think of anything to do for just three weeks and then last Saturday, with a little help from my friend’s Amber and Joe, I figured it out!
But before we announce the new three week tour, let’s go cleanse our rib-stained palates at Emack & Bolio’s Ice Cream!
Here we are in Peoria Heights and check this out! I don’t know how they knew I was coming here, but they commisioned this painting in my honor!
I’m not worthy…okay, maybe I am…but it’s still quite an honor!
And here we are at the house of palate cleansing, Emack & Bolio’s Ice Cream in Peoria Heights. If you’re looking for work, they’re hiring!
The tables are positioned for outside dining, but let’s go inside and see what’s happening in there.
There’s people ordering at the counter, so let’s take a minute to look at the massive menu in here.
There’s lots of selections to choose from in here!
Okay, time to place our order and there’s Matt, the friendly owner of Emack & Bolio’s to take that aforementioned palate cleansing choice!
Great to see Matt and catch up with him in this new year of 2025. He said business has been good and is looking forward to the upcoming summer of 2025 here in Peoria Heights.
While Matt prepares our palate cleansing order, let’s take a few photos in here.
As you can see, they have a wide variety of sweet and tasty cones and bowls to eat your ice cream out of in here.
I love the colorful art on the walls in here.
Check out the fun framed concert posters on the walls.
Wow, our ice cream is ready! Time to cleanse our palate and announce the next food tour!
I got the Salted Cashew Caramel Nut Sundae. It looks superbly sweet and delicious with a cherry on top!
Let’s grab a seat over here and cleanse our palate!
What a sweet and delicious treat! There’s whole cashews in here and they really add a nice texture and taste to this sweet and salty caramel sundae! I love the ice cream treats at Emack & Bolio’s Ice Cream!
Now, on to the announcement of the next MBIP food tour!
Oh, Ringo, how about a little drum roll to add to the excitement here?
Thank you, sir!
And now, the next MBIP Food Tour is…
A local three week tour of sampling a trio of local sauces!
As I mentioned in the introduction of this post, I was trying to figure out something to do for the next three weeks when last Saturday my friends Amber and Joe came over and they graciously gave me a gift of a sauce that was made and sold right here in Peoria, Illinois.
That got us talking about a couple of other local sauces and I decided right then and there that that would be the basis for this upcoming three week food tour! It would be a trio of weeks of sampling local sauces made right here in Peoria, Illinois!
Tune in next Tuesday to see the first sauce that Amber and Joe discovered as we prepare to get All Sauced Up for a three week tour! I’m excited and ready to sauce it up for this trio of weeks tour! Hooray!
