It’s hard to believe, but 61 years ago on this date, The Beatles made their debut appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show. The next day everyone was talking about this English band with strange haircuts. I was in kindergarten that year and the nun who taught us, told us that it was a sin for a boy to wear his hair like that. So, of course that night I went to the bathroom and combed my hair down in Beatles fashion and I knew that nun was full of shit!
That was the start of myself and millions of others becoming fans and getting swept up in Beatlemania!
I’ve got six links to online articles about the debut of the Fabulous Four on Ed Sullivan plus a video link and then thee’s the MBIP Coming Attractions as to what’s happening on the blog next week.
