Live from Peoria Heights, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, Jalisco Bar & Grill and featuring special guest stars, Samantha and Esther.

Here we are at Jalisco Bar & Grill in Peoria Heights.
Let’s go in and start this week’s Saturday night dining adventure!
Wow, the dining room in here is very spacious and nice.
Comfortable booths line the walls and here’s a shot from the back of the dining room.
They also have a nice bar room opposite the dining room and since I’m dining alone tonight, I think this is where I’ll settle in for the evening.
As soon as I sat down I was greeted by Samantha who was holding her sister Esther. It’s a family affair here and the place is owned by Samantha and Esther’s mom, Luz. They opened the restaurant in October and you can read all about that in this PJ Star article.
I placed my dinner order and Samantha brought me a margarita complete with a tropical drink umbrella in it. Nice!
While my dinner is being prepared, I got up to take some photos of the bar and the frozen margarita machines at the end of the bar.
There’s a large communal table opposite the bar and comfortable booths line both walls. I also took a shot from the very back of the bar area.
Meanwhile, back at my spot at the bar, it looks like Saturday night dinner is about to happen!
And baboom, here’s our dinner a plate of Paella, which is a Spanish dish that I’ve never seen on a menu in Peoria. It looks fantastic and the portion size is huge! Two people could easily share this dish!
They have a nice selection of hot sauces and I went with this one to season our Paella up with.
Let’s dig in and try it out. Wow, this is so tasty and delicious!
Paella is Mexican Rice topped with grilled shrimp and chicken there’s a rich cheese sauce that really adds a nice flavor to the dish.
It’s served with fresh tortillas, so I made a soft Paella taco and it was fabulous! What a tasty dinner!
