Flores Music is an iconic and legendary family-owned business in Peoria and Pekin. Jesse Flores founded the store back in 1958 and they’ve been at their location on War Memorial Drive since 1974 in addition to their store in Pekin.
Well a new chapter is about to unfold as the store is moving to a new location on Sheridan Road. I’ll show you that location at the end of this post, but for now, let’s take some last photos from Flores Music on War Memorial Drive.
Here we are at Flores Music, a legendary family-owned business.
Let’s go in and see what’s happening in there!
I see a couple of familiar faces over by the counter over there…
It’s the owners of Flores Music, Victor and Tony Flores (not pictured is owner, Mike Flores.) They said they’ve been busy planning the move and they’re going to be closed this Friday and Saturday and that they’ll be open for business in their new location on Monday!
I’ll reveal that location at the end of this post, but for now, let’s take some final photos from this location where they’ve been selling musical instruments since 1974!
I love the huge selection of electric guitars in here and I’m glad I don’t have to move all of them!
There’s more than guitars in here, there’s organs and drums and banjos…oh my!

Jesse was a talented musician, savvy business owner, wonderful father and a beloved Peorian!
Flores Music was established the year I was born. I wonder if its getting arthritis too?

The new Flores Music location, 3831 N. Sheridan Road. They’re just a couple store-fronts down from the new location of Relics Gift Shop.
I’ll stop back in about a month and have a report on this new location!
