Last week I used spaghetti in the Cincinnati Chili Marty Meal and I still have a half a box left over from that so I thought I’d use the rest of it for this week’s meal.

But instead of traditional spaghetti, I thought I’d make my own version and do a sort of chicken and noodles version of spaghetti.

I’m going to kind of wing this…pun fully intended, so let’s get cooking!

2. ingredients_7-30=20.jpg

The ingredients for this week’s Marty Meal are, from left to right: Velveeta Cheese Sauce, ground chicken, fresh mushrooms, chicken stock, Cajun seasoning, chopped onions and celery and carrots.

Plus I’ll be using seasonings and sauces from the MBIP Kitchen and cooking area.

First thing we’ll do is cook the ground chicken.

Ground chicken can be a little bland, so I’m adding generous amounts of seasoning to it. I’m adding liquid smoke, hot sauce, ground mustard, black pepper, Cajun seasoning and spicy mustard.

Now we’ll mix it all together, cover and let it simmer on a medium heat.

I seasoned some water with hot sauce and it’s come to a boil, so we’ll add the spaghetti, drain it, put in some butter and then transfer the seasoned ground chicken to it and fold it in.

We’ll cover that and let it simmer on a low heat.

Now we’ll cook up the chopped onions, celery and mushrooms.

Just like the ground chicken, this mixture needs some seasoning so I’m adding in generous amounts of hot sauce, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce and for an usual flavor layer, I’m adding in a big dollop of peanut satay sauce.

I mixed it all up and then transferred that mixture to the spaghetti pot.

The sauce for the spaghetti is inspired from the chicken and noodles dish.

I’m using a can each of creamy chicken soup and creamy mushroom soup. The we’ll add some hot sauce, black pepper and chicken stock to the mix and last but not least, a pouch of the Velveeta Cheese Sauce.

I added the sauce to the spaghetti and took a taste and it’s really delcious!

Now we’ll let that simmer for about a half an hour and let the flavors cook together.

Hmmm…what should we do now? Oh I know…

We’ll have a beer! Cheers!

Half An Hour Later…

Wow, this is really tasty and so full of flavor!

10. crackers_7-30-20.jpg

I put a serving in the bowl and the last step is to put some crunched up Saltine Crackers on top of it to add some crunch to the meal.

Okay, time to present this week’s Marty Meal!

Wow, this is so tasty!

All the different seasonings have added so much flavor! It’s savory, spicy and the Velveeta cheese gives it a nice rich taste.

The crackers give a nice crunch and this is one delicious meal, if I do say so myself and I just did, so there!

Keeping with the spaghetti theme, below is a photo montage of vintage pictures of people and spaghetti, enjoy!
