Last week Lou’s Drive-In opened up, marking the official sign that spring has sprung here in Peoria and summer will be here soon.

Since we’re still in the quarantine, pandemic times, you can’t eat there and can get your food to go and they strongly recommend you call in your order for curbside pickup. The phone number is 309-685-4519 to place your order. All the information is at their facecrack page right here.

Here’s some photos from a stop at Lou’s almost two years ago to this date, back when Corona was a beer in a can, not a virus that kept us all six feet apart!

Here we are at Lou’s Drive-In, back in pre-pandemic times! I like to sit at the island and that’s Caroline serving me up the famous Lou’s root beer with a cute smile!

There’s this week’s sandwich all wrapped up and I got an order of fries and they were crispy and delicious. Okay, time to unwrap this week’s Sandwich of Peoria!

I got the bacon cheeseburger, which I had never ordered at Lou’s before. I got it with onions and applied a liberal dose of mustard. The burger was juicy and delicious and the bun was bakery fresh and toasted.

They open at 11AM today, so you can call and have yourself a Lou’s treat for lunch or for dinner!
