Saturday Night @ Craft 309 Kitchen + Bar

by MBIP

Live, from Peoria, Illinois, it’s Saturday Night starring this week’s host, Craft 309 Kitchen + Bar and featuring special guest stars, Travion, John, Danny Jamie, Amanda and Sally.

And now, please welcome, from beautiful downtown Peoria, Craft 309 Kitchen + Bar!

Four Points by Sheraton recently opened up here in downtown Peoria and within the hotel is a new restaurant/pub called Craft 309 kitchen + bar.

I thought we’d try this new place out, so let’s go inside and see what’s happening on this Saturday night in downtown Peoria.

There’s the dining room, which we’ll take another look at later, but I’m alone tonight so I thought I’d sit at the bar.

Travion who was standing at the host area waved me over to the bar and as I sat down I met the GM of Craft 309, Danny! He welcomed me and then…

John who was tending bar brought me over a tasty Traveling Mule drink and took my order for my Saturday night dinner. Things happen fast here!

As you can see, there’s plenty of selections of draft beer, they have 30 brews on tap behind the bar. I took a step back and got a shot of the entire bar.

There’s wooden communal tables opposite the bar along with rounded banquettes to sit at.

Jamie and Amanda were two of the servers on duty and they flashed two beautiful smiles while posing for the MBIP Camera!

I told you we’d come back to the dining area and here we are!

There’s tables in the center and booths line the walls.

Sally came up and said hello, we first met at Tannins & Hops a while back and it was great to see her again!

Meanwhile, back at the bar…

It looks like our Saturday night dinner is just about ready to be served up!

I started off with an order of the Whiskey Maple Buffalo Wings.

These were so tasty and delicious! The maple sauce was offset with the somewhat spicy Buffalo seasoning and these have a nice sweet and heat taste to them!

For my main course I got The 309 Craft Mac which is served up hot in a personal skillet.

This was the best Mac ’n Cheese I’ve ever had!

You can read more about it in the review below, but if you’re a fan of Mac ’n Cheese (and who isn’t?) you need to get to Craft 309 and try this tasty creation out!

Welcome to Peoria, Craft 309, I’ll definitely be back! Cheers!

I started my meal off with a delicious Traveling Mule drink and then I followed that up with the Whiskey Maple Buffalo Wings. They were a delicious appetizer and the wings were seasoned with equal parts sweet and heat and they were a juicy and tasty treat!

I got the signature 309 Craft Mac for the main course and this is a gourmet Mac ’n Cheese delight!

It’s served up warm in a personal skillet and it’s topped with crispy fried onions and the pasta is swimming in rich beer melted cheese along with chunks of beer braised short ribs and roasted peppers. This is the best Mac ’n Cheese I’ve ever had! Truly sensational!

SN Rating

Four Galloping Gourmets—I highly recommend the 309 Craft Mac but there’s other interesting items on the menu including a Brisket Biscuit and Chicken and Waffles, so I’m definitely going to be returning soon!
