As I said yesterday, I’m taking this week off from the blog and will be back with new posts and adventures a week from today on May 1st. I thought this week I’d put up a few photos and a link to past episodes here on MBIP that are some of my favorite ones I’ve done. So here’s today’s photos and story behind the post from Monday, October 19, 2015.
This was a Saturday night at Castle’s Patio Inn, which is one of my favorite places in Peoria. I met my friends, Amber, Joe. Shannon and Steven there and here we are all settled in at the corner table. I was especially pleased that the table had a “Reserved” sign on it. Ali who’s a hostess and waitress at Castle’s took this photo and after this I tried taking more and the stupid MBIP Camera double-crossed me and the battery ran out on me. This really freaked me out and pretty much ruined my night. I don’t remember much about this night because I just started obsessing about what I was going to do for the Monday post. Everyone offered to take photos with their phones but because of my weird control issues with the blog I don’t like relying on anyone else for photos or much of anything here. So I was fucked five ways beyond Friday and it bugged me all night and I didn’t sleep too well because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. Then sometime on Sunday afternoon it hit me, I could do stickman drawings of the evening! And I could incorporate private thoughts and fantasies into the whole thing. I immediately went to work and below are a couple of the drawings I did for the whole post.
I was really happy with the way that this turned out and I’ve never done another stickman type episode because I didn’t think I could top this one. This is one of my all-time favorite posts and thanks to Amber, Joe, Shannon and Steven for hanging out with me that evening and inspiring it.
