Okay, last week we finished the MBIP Year Of Pizza and I thought today we’d do a little wrap-up of the year. And so that’s what we’re going to do.
The MBIP Year Of Pizza
I had to start with Peoria’s oldest pizza restaurant. And owners, Tony and Dan are two of the best guys in the world and the pizza was great, off to a wonderful start. 51 more weeks to go!
This stop was memorable, not only for great pizza, but we baked Gumby number one in the oven!
Gumby enters the oven at Sugar...
Cheers from Lucca Grill from Scott and I!
Barrister’s Pizza and Pub (MBIP Pizza Party Number One!)
The first pizza party of the tour in the tour at Barrister’s Pizza and Pub in Deer Creek, Illiois. A great day, with friends and some excitement too, Amber bashed her toe and we had a MBIP/ASDC business card duel!
Anita, the pretty owner of Barrister's Pizza and Pub.
A shot of our group taking over this part of the bar for the pizza party.
Bloody mess! Amber busted her toe...oh no!
MBIP/ASDC business card duel and I think it's the only time it's been a tie!
Larry’s Driftwood Pizza
A quick road trip to Creve Coeur, Illinois for some great pizza!
An impromptu pizza party with Mara and Liz! Always love it when unplaned things happen on the blog!
Mara and Liz at Bacci Pizza.
Bob Gordon arrives to drive us to...
Kevin at Castle's serving up a tasty pizza pie!
Another Bloomington road trip to Grady’s with special guest stars, Scott, Chip and Jimmy! And a go-kart race in this one!
Star and Kevin just before we took off for McCritter's in Pekin.
The only chain pizza that made the grade with special guest stars Clare and Bob.
One World Cafe
A fun night with special guest stars, Don, Leah and Lisa! And a night where no one took out a cell phone the entire evening!
Don, LIsa and Leah at One World Cafe.
Budde's Pizza & American Craft Beer Bar
A road trip to Galesburg for some tasty pizza with trusty MBIP Wheelman Scott Turley driving us there!
Jeff and Dani at Mud Puddle Pizza.
Whitey’s Tip Top Inn
Who knew that Whitey’s had such great pizza? Not me, but I found out!
Davis Bros. Pizza
A second stop to Davis Bros. Pizza, this time in East Peoria.
Michael’s Italian Feast
A mini road trip with special guest stars, Shannon, De and John Ingles. I hadn’t seen Shannon since she was one-years-old and I asked John and De if we could leave her with a homeless person in New York. So great to see all of them!
Tim and Colleen, my co-hosts for our second pizza party at The Red Barn.
Thanks to everyone who showed up at this, it was a blast!
Probably the best cheese pizza in the world! You need to check this out!
And back to where we once belonged, Agatucci’s Pizza. I thought the perfect way to end this journey was to go back to where it all started, Agatucci’s Pizza. Thanks to everyone who participated in this and followed this journey! We’ll see you all tomorrow!
Tony and Dan Agatucci at the last night of pizza.
Tony and Mike assembling the last pizza of the tour!
