Rosie’s Wine Bar opened up in Peoria Heights last July and I’ve been meaning to stop by and check it out.

Well, tonight is that night as I’m going there and meeting two friends there. Let’s head on over to Rosie’s Wine Bar in Peoria Heights and mark the 218th bar of this 365 tour!

Bar Number 218: Rosie’s Wine Bar, Monday September 21, 2026

Here we are at Rosie’s Wine Bar on Prospect Road in Peoria Heights. The entrance is located over on the side of this building.

You just walk down over here till you see the Rosie’s logo on the wall and the door is to the left of it.

Once you’re inside, there’s just one more door to step through and you’re in the newest bar in Peoria Heights! Let’s go in and check it out!

Wow, there’s a big crowd in here on a Monday night! I’m going to grab a seat at the bar and get settled in and wait for my friends to arrive!

Corina and Mary Anne were the two pretty and friendly bartenders on duty. And yes, I’m drinking a beer at a wine bar, I hope the wine police don’t come in and arrest me!

Bill and Kay were seated nearby me at the bar and they heard me mention Mike’s Tavern and they told me that they were daytime regulars there! Here they are posing with their friend Julie at the bar, it was great to meet them!

Here’s my two friends and the official special guest stars of the evening, Amy and Steve! They’re both looking fantastic and they joined me at the bar.

Amy and I have been friends since we both went to Bergan High School and it was great to hang out with her and Steve and catch up on things!

They’ve been here before and they said that it’s always a great time in here.

This is Denise Baker, who owns Rosie’s along with her husband, Todd. Denise’s nickname is Rosie and that’s where the name comes from.

She said things have been going fantastic in here and she appreciates all of the support the community has shown for Rosie’s Wine Bar. It was great to meet her and I wish her and Todd continued success with Rosie’s!

Mike and Richard came over and joined Amy, Steve and myself at the bar and as you can see, we might be having too much fun, if that’s possible!

Mike’s also a Bergan alumni and it was great to see him again and wonderful to meet Richard!

While Rosie’s is a wine bar, they have a nice selection beer and several signature cocktails on the menu.

Here’s Corina expertly mixing one up and pouring it into a cocktail glass.

This is “The Rosie” and it looks delicious! I’ll have to try one on my next visit!

As I mentioned, even though Rosie’s is billed as a wine bar, there’s a nice selection of cocktails and beer to be had here. And these six choices of draft beer behind the bar prove that point!

Okay, some time has passed and the crowd has wound down a little, so here’s a couple shots of the impressive bar in here. I love the chandeliers hanging overhead.

There’s tables behind the bar and lining the walls in here and my friend, Maureen was seated at one with some of her friends. Great to see her in here!

There’s a nice lounge area over here and I love the art on the brick wall, very cool!

This was a fun evening and thanks to Amy and Steve for joining me this evening! It was fun to hang out and visit with both of them while enjoying drinks at the Peoria Heights’ newest bar!
