Bar Number 178: K & M Village Tap, Thursday, July 30, 2026
Here we are in Deer Creek at the K & M Village Tap. I love this building, let’s go in and check it out!
Wow, there’s a huge wooden bar in here, very nice!
Sue was the friendly and pretty bartender on duty and here she is serving me up an ice-cold can of Pabst Blue Ribbon beer. We’re off to a fantastic start in here!
And here’s our special guest star, my friend, Virgil. Virgil suggested we have lunch here and it looks like he made a great choice!
Virgil is the owner of Medical Resources Group Limited in Morton, Illinois. Check out their website by clicking here. Always fun to hang out with Virgil for lunch!
The back of the bar is very well-stocked and quite impressive!
Here’s the quartet of beers on tap behind the bar.
Gaming machines line the back wall opposite the bar in here.
This room, opposite the bar, has a pool table, wooden tables line the wall and there’s three state-of-the-art dartboards on the far wall.
This place is loaded with fun things hanging on the wall and scattered around the bar. This is just a sampling, you need to come here in person to really see everything in here!
The ceiling is unique in here and I love the vintage Old Milwaukee beer sign hanging up there.
Mewanwhile, back at the bar…
It looks like our lunch is just about to arrive…
And whoomp, there it is, our lunch!
Virgil got the Philly Cheesesteak Sandwich and I got a cheeseburger. Both of us got the cole slaw and the food was very delcious. This was a fabulous lunch!
And here’s the gentleman who cooked and prepared our lunches, Gary.
Gary is the owner of the bar and he said he’s been following along on this bar tour. I’m pleased to add him and K & M Village Tap to the on-going list of fine bars we’ve visited. It was great to meet and chat with Gary!
I saw this sign on the way out and it made me think of our in-house Pabst Blue Ribbon enthusiast, Chad Wallace! Cheers, Chad!
Thanks to Sue and Gary for a wonderful afternoon and lunch at the K & M Village Tap!
And thanks to Virgil for driving, hanging out and suggesting this place! It was a fantastic afternnon and a fabulous bar in Deer Creek, Illinois!
