Last October I read about how Sangalli’s Court Street Steakhouse in Pekin, re-opened after being shut down since 2022. I went to that steakhouse back in 2018 and had a great evening there and I made a mental note to stop by and check it out after the grand re-opening.

Last time I went I had dinner at the bar and that’s exactly where we’re headed again tonight, eight years later!

Bar Number 115: Sangalli’s Court Street Steakhouse, Saturday, May 9, 2026

Here we are at Sanglli’s Court Street Steakhouse in Pekin, Illinois. Let’s go in and start this week’s Saturday night out on the town.

The sign says to: “Wait to be seated,” but we’re sitting at the bar, so we’ll just head over this way to…

The bar! It’s a nice, rectangle marble bar and there’s plenty of seats. Let’s snag one and get settled in for the evening!

Vikki was the friendly and pretty bartender on duty and she’s also the manager of the steakhouse. She said business has been good since they re-opened last year and they appreciate the support.

Kyersten, another pretty woman behind the bar came over and took our dinner order. So far it’s been a spectacular evening and it’s just beginning!

There’s about six beers on draft back there, but I forgot to get a close-up of them, so if you’re curious, stop in and get lunch or dinner in here!

There’s the back of the well-stocked bar and it’s always great to see Spuds MacKenzie back there being a good boy!

Vikki said that there’s a new sign on order that should be up any day now!

There’s tables and chairs opposite the bar and they line the far wall. Comfortable booths line up the front wall with a view of Court Street in Pekin.

Meanwhile, back at the bar…

I started off with a salad with Italian dressing. It was a delicious salad and they put a nice amount of a mixed cheese blend on top. We’re off to a wonderful start!

Here’s our main course! I got the Signature Steak which is a grilled Ribeye steak topped with grilled onions, sauteed mushrooms and a caramelized onion chianti sauce.

I also got a side order of French fries and they were crispy and nicely seasoned.

Now on to the star of the show, the Signature Steak!

The steak was grilled and cooked to perfection! It was tender, juicy and tasty! The grilled onions, mushrooms and the onion chianti sauce complimented it perfectly!

This was a fantastic meal and evening at Sangalli’s Court Street Steakhouse. They also have a nice selection of pasta dishes, chicken and seafood on their menu.

You should definitely check it out! They’re open for lunch and dinner, seven days a week!
