Okay, today’s blog post is dedicated to MBIP friend and commenter, Chad Wallace. It upset him that I didn’t got to Tavern 41 on the 41st night of the tour and then it was a double whammy when I went to The 33 Room on the 41st night.

So when my friend Jim/Vern discovered there was a bar named, Pub Fifty-Two, we decided to go there on this 52nd night of the 365 bar tour!

But first, I want to throw out a thank you to Matt Weaver, the owner and operator of Weaver’s Fresh Food & Drink, which was our 43rd stop on the tour. Matt sent me ten 25 dollar gift cards to Weaver’s! I’m going to be passing them out in my travels and the first one goes to tonight’s driver, Jim/Vern Damico!

There he is with one of the gift cards! Thanks so much, Matt, that was very nice of you and I appreciate it!

Bar Number 52: Pub Fifty-Two, Monday, March 2, 2026

There’s Jim/Vern behind the wheel and there’s the highway ahead of us on our way to Mackinaw, Illinois to tonight’s drinking destination…

Pub Fifty-Two on this 52nd night of this 365 bar tour. Even though I said I could take a night off if needed, I’m proud of the fact that I’ve made it 52 nights in a row so far!

Okay, let’s go inside and start this aforementioned 52nd night of this tour.

Wow, it’s big in here and that’s an impressive wooden bar. Let’s go snag a seat and get a drink.

Angela was the pretty bartender on duty. This was her first night bartending, but she already seems like a pro behind there.

I got a can of Pabst in honor of Chad Wallace, the man this post is dedicated to! Cheers to Chad and everyone else who’s reading this!

This is Larry and Melanie, the owners of Pub Fifty-Two. They’re very nice people and we had fun chatting and joking with them.

Larry took us outside to show us their massive beer garden and the paintball area. Paintball is back in season and here’s their facecrack page with more details. They also rent canoes here and they have a party bus for rental as well.

Larry showed us their kitchen area and this is the cleanest kitchen I have ever seen! Very impressive!

In addition to burgers and wings, they have homemade tenderloins and pizza pies in here and we’ll be showing one of the pizzas soon, keep on scrolling to see it!

There’s another look at the bar in here and the lit-up bottles behind it.

Dining tables line the wall opposite the bar in here.

There’s additional seating on the other side of the bar, with another dining area and not one, but two pool tables in this room.

There’s a gaming room in the back over here for all you gamblers out there!

And there’s that homemade pizza I promised you earlier! It’s delicious and made right here in that spotless kitchen!

Larry gave Jim/Vern and I a t-shirt which was very nice of him! This was a fun evening and thanks to Larry and Melanie for hanging out with us, it was a blast!
