Okay, back when we went to the Bowling Alley bar in Eureka, I put up the Sneaky-Peeky photo on the MBIP facrack page and some people guessed that it was the Outpost Bar.

I had never heard of the Outpost Bar and made a mental note to stop by there on this tour. So tonight we’re going to check that mental note off of my mental list and head back to Eureka and stop in at the Outpost Bar. It’s off to Eureka we go!

Bar Number 232: The Outpost, Thursday, October 8, 2026

Here we are at The Outpost in Eureka, Illinois. This place is a multi-task operation. It’s not only a bar, it’s a restaurant and a liquor store.

Well, we need to find the bar and hopefully it’s right around the corner, let’s go look…

Eureka! Here’s the bar in the Outpost in Eureka! Let’s go in and stop saying, Eureka!

Here’s the bar and there’s an empty seat there on the end.

I sat down and ordered a can of Budweiser, but sadly the bartender didn’t want to have her picture taken. She was very nice, but said she didn’t want to be on the internet. Oh well, let’s just keep moving along here. You can’t win them all!

There’s tables behind the bar and comfortable booths line the far wall.

Here’s a shot of the bar from the other end and I love the cow horns hanging over the bar. Moo!

If you look closely at the fine print to the right on the Jack Daniel’s Road sign it says, “Please Drink Responsibly.” Irony at it’s finest hour!

This is a game room with two pool tables, a dartboard and there’s a gaming room off to the side. I didn’t take a picture of that because it was loaded with customers.
