It’s been a while since we’ve done a luncheon post and so I thought we’d do one this week. And it’s a good time to do a luncheon post because I have a friend who wants to make a special announcement on today’s blog!
What is this mysterious announcement? Well, keep on scrolling and you’ll find out!
Here we are at the Untamed Chef. They have a nice patio area here for outside dining, but it’s a little drizzly out today so everyone’s inside. Let’s go in and join them and get out of the rain!
Here ‘s the bar dining room and I think I spy our special guest star at a nearby table…
It’s my friend Tricia who has a brand new book out, published under her writing name of P.A. Nimmo.
This is her third book and her first fictional book. Very exciting!
The book is, Tails of the Cat and The Bookstore and it’s the story of George the cat, who’s currently on his fourth life and he’s living it in a book store. Mary Beth is the store owner and this is the story of George, his friend Henry the mouse and the people George meets as they come and go in the shop.
It’s a fun and interesting story for children and adults and it’s filled with wonderful illustrations. You can read more about it and buy the book by clicking on this link.
The book is also available at these fine local book stores: Lit on Fire Books, Moon Dancer Boutique, The Book Rack, The Book Nook and Tails of a Bookworm.
The book is a great gift for your kids and/or grandchildren! Buy the book and support a local author and our local bookstores!
There’s the Untamed Chef herself, the owner, operator and head chef, Becca! She’s looking great as always and she took our lunch order for the afternoon.
Now time for me to take some photos while it’s being prepared!
They have a very nice, fully stocked bar in here and I love the colorful, ever-changing Untamed Chef Sign behind the bar!
There’s the quartet of beers on tap and there’s six gaming machines opposite the bar for all of you gamblers out there!
Through this door is the main and original dining area. There’s lots of seating in here and it’s a comfortable and relaxed place to have a wonderful lunch or dinner.
The food is all homemade and so delicious!
There’s the logo on the wall and the kitchen area is right in front of the dining room, so you can watch as your food is expertly prepared!
Speaking of food…
Our lunch has just started to show up!
We started off with an appetizer order of the Warm Crab Rangoon Dip which comes with homemade garlic parmesan chips.
This was a rich, creamy delight and the chips were crispy and tasty! A wonderful and tasty start to our lunch!
For. our main courses, Tricia got the Six Cheese Mac & Cheese and I got the Ravioli in a cream sauce with chicken strips.
Bot of them look tantalizing and tasty! Let’s dig in!
Both dishes were so delicious and tasty. As I mentioned, everything here is made fresh from scratch and it’s some of the most flavorful and tasty food in Peoria!
Becca made a great video about supporting local restaurants and you can view that by clicking on this link. Eat and shop local everyone!
Thanks to Becca and everyone at Untamed Chef for a fabulous lunch!
