Today’s post is a little departure from the usual Saturday Night Cheeseburger posts that usually go up on Mondays.
Last Friday, Phil Raso put on a show in Dunlap and I went to that and it was so much fun that I decided to put up a rare Friday night post on Monday!
Phil is one of Peoria’s most unique entertainers, he’s a magician and a mind reader and he performs all over the country. I’ve seen him perform with other entertainers, but I’ve never seen him do a solo show and last Friday night was the night I finally saw a complete Phenomenal Phil show!

I did have dinner, but it was an appetizer dinner at the Asia Grill and that will be on the blog tomorrow. Stay tuned for that, but for today…

I got here early to get a few shots of the hall before the audience arrives.

Phil said he was excited for tonight’s show and ready to perform for tonight’s audience!
Phil had to set up for the evening and get ready for the show, so I let him get ready and I went to…

This was a nice tavern, filled with regulars from the neighborhood.
After a couple of beers, I returned to the hall and the audience had arrived! It looks like a sold out show tonight!
I ran into Rod “Hot Rod” Pauli in the crowd, always great to see him! Okay, let’s get a seat, because the show is just about to begin!
Phenomal Phil’s two sons, David and Adam introduced their Dad and it was a fun and hilarious introduction. Entertaining talent runs in the family!

It’s Phenomenal Phil!
Phil came onstage and gave an introductory talk about the show and then…
The show started!
Phil interacts with the audience and they become part of the show. Phil is great putting people at ease on stage and charms them with his humor and talent.
Everyone leaves the stage with a smile and amazement at Phil’s unique magic and mental powers!
There’s lot’s of props and surprises in the show and it’s an amazing evening that leaves everyone saying, “How in the world did that happen?”
Marilyn Monroe made an appearance and the show came to a Wicked and hilarious close!
What a fun evening of mental amazement and hilarious surprises!
Phil thanked the crowd and bowed to the audience! This was such a fun and magical evening!
