Sunday Links: Keith Moon - Plus: The MBIP Coming Attractions!

by MBIP

Last Friday was the birthday of Keith Moon who was the drummer and the heart and soul of the band The Who.

He would have been 78-years-old, but sadly his flame burned out on September 7th, 1978, when the madcap drummer overdosed on a drug he was taking to curb his alcoholism. Irony at its finest hour.

I loved The Who and always felt that they should’ve retired that name after Keith Moon died. As I said, he was the heart and soul of The Who and in honor of his birthday today, below are six links and a video from the short but crazy life of Keith Moon A.K.A. “Moon the Loon.”

And then there’s the MBIP Coming Attractions as to what’s happening on the blog next week.
