All good things come to an end and this rings true with this hot dog series. This was a summer series and since Labor Day is happening Monday, it’s only proper to put this series to rest with a final Dog Day Afternoon here at the MBIP World Headquarters.
Scott Turley is not only the MBIP Pal and Wheelman, he’s also a Grilling Master and I’ve enjoyed his grilled dinners at his place in Morton, Illinois. Since I was laid up last week from my hip surgery, he volunteered to come over and grill up some gourmet hot dogs here at the MBIP World Headquarters.
And I’ve just heard a knock at the front door…
There he is, Scott Turley and I love the t-shirt!
Here’s the hot dogs and the sides that Scott brought for our final hot dog meal of the summer.
But before we begin this hot dog adventure…
We had a couple of beers in the main room of the MBIP World Headquarters.
Okay, time to fire up the grill…
And let Scott go to work putting the dogs on the grill.
We had another beer out on the porch and here’s a shot of our view looking out at University Street after a sudden rain storm.
There’s Scott back at the grill putting the finishing touches on this week’s hot dogs. They look delicious!
The table is all set, time to sit down and enjoy the final hot dogs for this doggone summer series!
There’s Scott’s hot dog dressed with mustard, onions and relish. And before you know it…Man Bites Dog!
Here’s my hot dog, I went with mustard and the chopped onions and this was such a delicious hot dog! The perfect happy ending for this doggone series!
