My friend Chelsie Tamms from Lettering Works was coming to town from Chicago to go to the grand opening of a new vegan restaurant opening in Campustown called Radish Kitchen and she invited me to meet her there.
So let’s make tracks over there and see Chelsie and check this new Peoria restaurant out!
There’s Radish Kitchen in Campustown which faces Main Street in Campustown. It looks impressive!
The hours here are 10 to 6pm, Tuesday through Saturday. Okay, let’s go in and what’s happening inside!
Wow, it’s nice in here and there’s tables in the center of the room and they also line the front wall along with a booth up front.
Hey, I see some familiar faces over at the table there!
There’s Chelsie with Daniel to the right of her and Maris, Allison and Tabitha clockwise from Chelsie’s left.
Daniel runs his own web development and design business and you can check that out here: Daniel Hart Web Design.
Chelsie is an artist and designer and her business is Lettering Works and you can also check her out on facecrack and Instagram.
Maris has a cat.
Allison is an independent documentary filmmaker, freelance videographer and fine artist. You can read more about her and check out her work here on her website.
Tabitha is a vintage designer and ghost-shopper and you can check her out on her Instagram page here: Near And Dear Vintage.
There’s a variety of items to buy along the wall in here including spices, custom-made plant holders and there’s even vegan mac and cheese!
There’s also custom made Radish merch including tote bags, shirts and masks!
Here’s the kitchen area where the food is prepared for dine-in or take out.
They also have catering options and you can check that out by clicking here.
Alyssa was working in the kitchen and here’s a dish she prepared which is the Breakfast Scramble. All the dishes here are vegan and even if you aren’t on a vegan diet, you should check it out for a different tasting experience here in Peoria.
It’s a unique dining option to take your palate on a new eating experience! You’ll be surprised at how tasty and the unique flavors these vegan dishes have!
Here’s the owner of Radish Ktchen, Jam in the kitchen working up a delicious meal for a lucky diner. She said that she’s had a great reaction to the opening of the restaurant and people are happy to have a vegan dining option here in Campustown.
Here’s a shot from the back of the restaurant on this sunny afternoon. All of a sudden I just had a Kinks flashback!
Chelsie designed the logo for Radish Kitchen and for a grand-opening present, she brought her original sketches for the logo. How cool is that?
Jam said she’s going to frame these and put them up on the wall.
Welcome to Peoria, Radish Kitchen! Long may you grow here in Campustown!
Thanks to Jam for adding a unique dining experience to Peoria!
