Okay, another week another two cans of Chef Boyardee to sample, this week we’re trying…
The Cheesy Burger Macaroni and the Cheese Ravioli cans.
And here they are in the MBIP World Headquarters cupboard.
We’ll start off with the Cheesy Burger Macaroni. This flavor wasn’t available when I was a kid, so i’m anxious to try it out.
I forgot to get the birds-eye-view photo of this can. I hate it when that happens…oh well, let’s just keep moving along here like nothing wrong has happened.
There it is plopped in the pan and we’ll add some pepper to the mix.

Yikes, they look like small intestines, not too appetizing at all!
First Bite: Like most of the Chef Boyardee entrees, this is really bland and pretty tasteless. There’s a faint tomato taste from the runny tomato sauce but there’s little beef and no cheese taste at all.
With a name like “Cheesy Burger Macaroni,” you’d think it would have a cheesy flavor to it, but, as John Belushi would say, NOOOO!
Here’s the second Chef Boyardee entree, the Cheese Ravioli and I remembered to get a bird’s-eye-view of this can.
Look at the lone ravioli peaking out at the top of the can. That’s kind of cute!
Here they are plopped into the pan and all peppered up.

Yikes, the cuteness is gone! These things look a little scary in this close-up shot!
First Bite: Oof, these taste frightening!
The cheese is slimy and tastes like congealed goat snot. Aaaahhhh!
Look at the inside of the ravioli, holy shitballs it looks like congealed goat snot…I think I’m going to hurl!

Cheesy Burger Macaroni: One Chef, it was tasteless, bland and not worthy of its title.
Cheese Ravioli: One Half Chef, three words: Congealed Goat Snot. Aaaahh!

Hostess Treat: Sundae Cupcakes
I found a limited edition Hostess treat this week: Sundae Cupcakes!
This is pretty goddamned exciting, right?
Okay, it’s really not, but we can pretend.
There they are and I’m a little disappointed at the lack of sprinkles they put on them. I mean if you’re going to put sprinkles on cupcakes, load it up! This is a little pathetic.
Anyway, into the microwave they go!
These are really sweet and tasty and the filling is warm and creamy. If only there were more sprinkles it would be a perfect world!
