This week I decided to try the California Pizza Kitchen Four Cheese Pizza for our bi-weekly frozen pizza review. And yeah, this week it’s happening on Friday because yesterday’s post pushed us back a day.
I’m skipping this week’s Chef Boyardee sampling to bring you this frozen pizza review, because I think you’d rather see the frozen pizza review instead of another week of Chef Boyardee.
The Chef will be back next week, but for now, let’s move on to this week’s frozen pizza pie!
Here we are in the familiar frozen pizza pie aisle at Schnuck’s Grocery Store.
And through the miracle of these here interwebs, here we are back at the MBIP World Headquarters Kitchen and Tasting Area with this week’s frozen pizza pie, the California Pizza Kitchen Four Cheese Pizza.
And whoomp, into the MBIP Pizza Oven it goes.
While it cooks, we’ll watch the following video.
While the pizza cooks up, here’s Dave Portnoy reviewing the pizza we’re about to sample.
Okay, the pizza is done, so let’s take it out of the MBIP Pizza Oven.
It looks really good!
Now we’ll season it up with fine ground pepper, Cholula Hot Sauce, Butch’s seasoning blend and Butch’s Hot Sauce.
Here’s the comparison to the box picture and real life.
The box picture is somewhat close, but mine is darker because I always cook my pizza to the well-done stage.
Now it’s time for the all-important cooling down stage.

Okay, the pizza has cooled down and now it’s time to sample it.
This is really tasty frozen pizza! The four cheeses make for a tasty topping and the sauce has a nice zing to it.
The crust is cracker thin and crispy, just the way I like it and this is one delicious frozen pizza pie!
