I realized something while looking at the McDonald’s menu online this week, we’re just about done with this mission!
Last week I went and was told that they’re not doing salads now for awhile. I’m guessing it’s got something to do with the whole Covid 19 thing, but I also realized that salads really aren’t indicative to the McDonald’s menu. It’s not what they’re about and a salad is a salad. Same thing goes for their ice cream items. And I’m skipping all of the drinks because we’re eating the menu and not drinking it.
So that leaves just two items and then we’re done! So it’s off to the Golden Arches for one last visit! I’m McLovin’ this!
I’ve put a line through the items that don’t apply to this McMission. So we’re down to just the World Famous Fries and the Baked Apple Pie. The reason I’m including the Baked Apple Pie is that it was the first McDonald’s dessert item and it needs to be sampled for the history of it. (Note: I’ve put lines through the items I’ve deemed not worthy of this tour.)

The First Bite
World Famous French Fries: They’re not as crispy as I like and there’s too much salt on them. Having said that though, they’re not horrible and I did eat all of them, so I guess I shouldn’t complain. But calling them “World Famous” is a bit of a stretch.
Baked Apple Pie: There’s a caution on the box that the filling is hot, but it was cold by the time I bit into it. The crust was kind of cardboard-like and the filling was sweet and kind of tasteless. It wasn’t the worst thing I’ve eaten on this tour, but it wasn’t the best either.
Both of these were okay and totally digestible. Would I go back for either one? No McFucking way!
