I’ve been busy rehearsing for the upcoming Marty Monologues show that’s happening a week from Sunday. Yesterday I finally made my way through the whole show here at MBIP Headquarters. This is always a milestone, because it’s tough to do the whole show in rehearsal, so I was happy with myself.
But I woke up today to do the Friday post and I realized I got so caught up in rehearsing yesterday that I forgot to go to Arby’s for my weekly post!
Today is Friday the 13th, so I thought I’d go back in time and check out some posts that were done on this date, back in my blogging past. So away we go!
My November 13th post on the 365 bars blog was about a trip to Hickey’s Bar with my friends that I dubbed, The BBC. The BBC was short for Baltimore Bar Crawlers. They consisted of Gene, Smoopy and Terry. I met the BBC through Gene after he contacted me after reading about the 365 bars blog in the paper.
They made a few appearances on the 365 bar blog and would continue to visit me on my future blogs in New York City The last photo in this post is a classic!
And to prove this aforementioned fact, here’s Gene and Smoopy visiting exactly a year later and now I’m doing my Marty After Dark blog in New York City.
We went out for a Cheeseburger Saturday Night adventure at a nearby bar.
My next blog I worked on was called, Tripping With Marty and this blog started out in New York City and it ended up back here in Peoria after I decided to move back to P-town. I would start the blog, Meanwhile, Back In Peoria…in just about a month from the date of this post.
This is a post about me settling into my new studio apartment in Peoria after being gone for 19 years.
And before you knew it, I’d been doing Meanwhile, Back In Peoria for five years at this point!

Okay, this wasn’t an actual Friday the 13th post, but it was my 13th visit to Agatucci’s and the post landed on a Friday, so this is close enough!
