The Scott Turley Birthday Extravaganza tradition started here on MBIP on July 25, 2013 with a trip to the Peoria Zoo. It’s become a yearly event and last Sunday marked the sixth year for this celebration for Scott who is the MBIP Wheelman, pal and Contributing Writer. This year we celebrated Scott’s birthday at TNT’s in East Peoria and below are the photos of the festive celebration from last Sunday!
TNT’s East Peoria
This is the first time we’re having Scott’s birthday party TNT's in East Peoria and check out the sign, looks like they knew we were having a party here! I like the canopy entrance here, pretty fancy-schmancy!
TNT’s in East Peoria has a nice bar area up front and there’s a large dining area behind with tables, booths and sports memorabilia on the walls. There’s also a beer garden in the back that I didn’t get shots of, but you can see photos of it in this post from last February when I came here for a Saturday night dinner. Uh, oh, I think I see the party table just over there!
The Party Table
There’s our party table now all we have to do is find the Birthday Boy...
The Birthday Boy
There he is, the guest of honor, Scott Turley! He turns 65 this year, much to his doctor’s amazement! Happy birthday Scott, now let’s see who else is here at this years extravaganza celebration!
The Birthday Guests
Lots of Scott’s family and friends showed up for this years party and it was fun to see old friends and meet some new ones! The last photo is everyone drinking a shot in honor of Scott’s birthday.
Our two pretty waitresses were Peggy and Carmele and they did a fantastic job of keeping everyone’s drinks fresh and serving up the food. Speaking of the food...
We had pizza and chicken wings and I was starving like this guy so I forgot to take photos of the food! I managed to get a shot of some of the chicken wing bones and these were the last two pieces from a cheese pizza but everything was tasty and delicious. TNT’s has wonderful food and an extensive menu to choose from.
The Birthday Gifts
Scott got some cool birthday presents and this one was really special, it’s an actual money tree made by Scott’s brother Jerry! We kept this close by in case we ran out of cash for drinks!
Here’s my birthday card to Scott, I was proud to insert the word abortion into a birthday card!
Scott’s opening up some presents from my birthday bag including an animal in a ball, Smarties from Marty, some hand things and a do it yourself birthday cake!
The Annual Birthday Ball: The Gift That Keeps On Giving...Scott A Headache!
The highlight of every Scott Turley Birthday Extravaganza is the opening of the Birthday Ball. This is a ball of multi-colored paper I get from Relics Gift Shop that takes forever to open and the prizes inside really aren’t worth the trouble it takes to get to them. The first prize is a Fortune Teller Fish.
Then it was time for a beer break.
And on to more unwrapping and after what seemed like forever and three days Scott was rewarded with a heart ring and a plastic insect!
Happy Birthday To You!
Happy birthday, Scott, this was yet another fun party and I’ll see you on our next road trip!
