If you hang out around the Towne House Motel on Knoxville Avenue for more than five minutes you have a very good chance of being asked for money, getting propostioned by a semi-toothless, crack-addled prostitute and/or fearing for your life due to lowlifes, gangbangers and general ne'er-do-well’s scuffling in and around the area
During an afternoon photo shoot yesterday I experienced all of those aforementioned chances and then against my better judgement I went back for a few nighttime shots. This place defines the word “skeezy” in the daylight hours and at night it’s downright nerve-rattling.
I found some online reviews and facecrack comments about this motel, both positive and negative and I’m going to let them serve as the captions for this photo essay of one of Peoria’s scariest motels in a very sketchy and dodgy part of Peoria. Enjoy!
The Towne House Motel In The Daylight Hours
If you are into horror films such as Psycho and Vacancy and you don't mind filth, then this is the place for you!
I was treated extremely well when I stayed at this motel.
The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable.
It's scary just driving by this dump, who in their right mind would stay there?
He smelled like he had been smoking crack and he was out of hand. Stay away from this hotel.

This place does need to be torn down.
The motel is in the middle of town, so it was very convenient for my stay.
What a beautiful place to lounge!
