Meanwhile, Back In Peoria: Coming Attractions For The Next Month...

by MBIP

Truthfully, I didn’t expect to be in much of a shape to be doing anything on this blog now, but the recovery from my heart surgery has been going very well. I’m pretty much stuck in my apartment and will know more this Thursday when I have a follow-up appointment with my surgeon, but the odds are I’m pretty much stuck at home for at least two to three weeks and then it’ll be limited activity for a couple more weeks. I can do stuff but I get real tired after about a half an hour and have to sit down and do nothing and rest up.

Tomorrow I’ll write about my four days in the hospital and then on Halloween I’ll show some pictures of the post operation scars. And yes, they’re not for the weak of the stomach. The working title is: “The Chest of Sores.” Then, quite frankly, I’m not sure what I’ll be putting up here, because I can’t go out and do much for the next few weeks.

So we’ll be playing it by ear, but I’m thankful that while there’s pain, it’s not crippling and I can work on my stuff.

And thanks for all the nice words, support and kindness, it means a lot to me and my healing heart!
