I usually don’t put up a full-fledged blog post on Saturdays, because I rarely go out on Friday nights and Saturdays I usually put up a post that I haven’t gone out on the town for. Friday nights are kind of my one night to recharge and get ready for next week, but last night I was invited to a special, super-duper birthday surprise party at Jimmy’s Bar for Karen (Waugh) Schwindenhammer, who I’ve been friends with forever! If you live in Peoria, the odds are you know someone from the Waugh family and/or the Schwindenhammer clan. They’re all over the place and I’m lucky enough to be friends with both families and I have been for over five decades but who’s counting? Not me because I can’t count that high! Anyway, there’s only one person on this earth that’s both a Waugh and a Schwindenhammer and that’s my friend Karen Schwindy! Her husband Jim put together a surprise party for her 60th birthday last night and I had a rare Friday out on the town in honor of this wonderful event! Below are photos from the party and it was so great to see everyone there! I saw a lot of friends I hadn’t seen in years and some I still see frequently and it was a royal blast!
