It’s Sunday and that means it’s time to take a spin around the interwebs via the links listed below and then there’s a sneaky-peeky as to what’s coming up here next week on MBIP!
I made it up to 175 spins, if you can beat that, well, congratulations, you have even less of a life than I do!
Only Three US Cities Have Good Jobs, Affordable Housing, and High Quality of Life
There’s only three U.S. cities right now that have good jobs, affordable housing and a high quality of life. If you live in Peoria, the good news is that all three are in the Midwest. If you live in Peoria, the bad news is that none of them are Peoria. Check them out via this article in Gizmodo.
Times Square Live
See that giganzo McDonald’s? That’s just one of the many reasons I won’t be going to Times Square when I visit New York in August!
Two Stephens, Same Sweater
Stephen Colbert and Stephen King wearing the same sweater in this animated gif. One is happy, one is not!
An interesting site listing character actors and links to their IMDb database telling you where you’ve seen them before.
Blast From My Past—Neigborhoodr
I found this post on Neighborhoodr about my old blog, Marty After Dark! Fun to see this again, that seems like another lifetime!
We’ve got another action-packed week coming up here at MBIP! Tomorrow we make our annual trip to Lou’s Drive-In and that’s always fun, plus I got something to eat there I’ve never tried before! Tuesday is our third week in the MBIP “A Year In The Life Of A Sandwich” food tour and this week we took a suggestion from a reader/friend and met her at the sandwich shop and it was a great sandwich and lunch! Wednesday will be highlights from this year’s Artist and Comic Expo @ Lakeview Rec Center and Thursday I’m having lunch with my friend and future co-author, Lisa Odum at Jonah’s Seafood House, plus we’re going to check out the newly-opened Jonah's market and bakery while we’re there! And I’d love to say I know what I’m doing this Friday, but as usual, I have no idea! So let me go ponder that eventuality and we’ll see you all tomorrow! Have a slap-happy Sunday, everybody!
