One thing I preach on this blog is shopping local and shopping smaller. When you shop at local, smaller stores, you’re avoiding the madness of the mall and at most local businesses you can actually chat with the owner and have a little sociability mixed in with the shopping. Back in 2013, I went to twelve local stores and took some photos and I thought this year I’d do it again...and so that’s what I did! This is by no means a definitive list of local stores, there’s plenty of others to check out as well, this is just a sampling of some of my favorite places to shop for gifts. Oh and this is just part one, part two will be posted next week, so stay tuned for that, but for now enjoy a little virtual tour of a half a dozen great local stores to do some of your Christmas shopping!
