A couple of week’s ago I got this message via facecrack:

And just to prove that all you need to do here at MBIP is ask and ye shall receive, we’re off for a couple of beers at Linda Lou’s 119 Tavern in Lacon, Illinois! To the MBIP mobile we go!

And it's off we go, we're headed for Lacon, Illinois, the last time we came to Lacon was for a hot dog battle in the Peoria Hot Dog Wars.

As much as I hate driving over bridges in the daytime, it's multiplied four score and seven years ago at night. Yikes!

We survived the nerve-rattling bridge ride and here we are at Linda Lou's 119. Love the painted logo on the side of the building!

Let's go in and see what's happening on a Thursday night at Linda Lou's 119 Tavern.

Wow, there's a good crowd in here tonight, the bar is pretty well filled up, but I spy a seat at the end of the bar. Let's go snag it.

And moments after I sit down, Sam the pretty and friendly bartender on duty serves up beer number one. We're off and running!

And yes, once again I brought popcorn.

Here's the view of the bar from where I'm seated.

Overhead a ceiling fan gently spins clock-wise.

There's a pool table situated in the middle of the front room. I love the paneled walls in here. It makes you feel like you're in someone's basement drinking a beer.

It's darker in the back room and there's tables to sit at and a long shuffleboard table back here.

I shared my popcorn with the Wormy Party which was seated directly behind me in the middle of the bar. Why do they call themselves the Wormy Party?

Because this man, known to many in the bar as, "Wormy" is seated at the head of the table and he eats food like a tapeworm on a feeding frenzy. Check out him inhaling the bag of popcorn! I'm glad I brought it or he may have just eaten my left foot!
