In New York last year I did a blog post about an old school barbershop called, Astor Place Hairstylists. After that post, that barbershop became my regular place to get a haircut. I got a haircut there the day before I moved back to Peoria and now, months later, I’m in need of another one.
Dori Garrison used to cut my hair back when I lived here and I got hold of her and made an appointment to have her cut my hair for the first time in twenty years. She used to always give me the perfect hair cut, let’s see if she can still cut the mustard...I mean hair.
Dori had her own salon for years, but she’s now doing hair at here at Salon True off University in the Tanglewood Shopping Plaza. Let’s go inside and check it out.

It’s Dori, looking as pretty as she always does! I haven’t seen her in years and she hasn’t changed a bit. I’m always early and Dori was still working on Sally’s hair, so I decided to wander around and snap some pictures.

Oh wow, Jenna and Channing are having a baby! My first thought is: “Better them than me!” And my second thought is: “Who the fuck is Jenna and Channing?”
They’re having a baby! Now if I only knew who the fuck these people are, my life would be complete.
Okay, it’s my time in the hot seat! Let’s see if Dori can work her magic on this mess of mane.

There that’s better! It was great catching up with Dori, she’s the best hair stylist in the River City area. Book an appointment with her and you’ll see what I mean!
Check it out, Dori did a great job with my hair, just like the old days. Now if she could only fix the rest of me! The bad news is, I still don’t know who the fuck Jenna and Channing are. Thanks for a great haircut, Dori, see you in about six weeks and we’ll see the rest of you tomorrow. Same batty time, same batty station!
