Last week I ended the WMBIP Video Thursday series and I was going to start a new Thursday series today, but I’m still kind of fine-tuning the idea and how I’m going to present it, so I’m not ready to start that yet. I was trying to think of something to do this week in the interim and I decided to take you on a tour of The MBIP World Headquarters. I haven’t given a tour of the place since 2016 and there’s some new stuff in here. So fasten your seat belts because here we go on a three hour tour...well, actually it's probably more of a three minute tour, but who’s counting? Oh, apparently I am. Okay, I’m going to quit talking to myself and we’ll begin the tour!
The MBIP World Headquarters 2017 Tour
Here we are at the MBIP World Headquarters! I love that sign that they made for me at CJ Signs and want to thank them again for doing such a fantastic job on it!
We’re inside and the tour will officially begin right now!
Here’s the front room where the socializing happens at MBIP World Headquarters! It's also where I nervously pace around all the time and worry about eleven different things all at once.
This is the MBIP Kitchen And Food Tasting Area. The collage on the refrigerator is still a work in progress as is...
The collage on the cabinets. The pictures below the collage feature metal cut art by my brother Jim, my favorite paragraph from Huckleberry Finn, a portrait of myself and brothers, Jim and Tom and my sister Terry. I think that picture was taken in 1962! And the bottom picture is one of my all-time favorite things, The Furious LIttle Monkey!
This door leads to The MBIP Bedroom where this blog gets created and sleep is always hard to accomplish. I’m not showing you the back of the room because there’s shit everywhere and I need to clean it up. In fact I need to start working more on this room and get some pictures on the walls in here. That will be my goal for the 2018 tour, if I’m still alive for that—stay tuned!
These are a few pictures from the little hallway that leads to...
The MBIP Bathroom, shower, grooming area and reading room. There’s the three books on top of the toilet I’m currently reading, they are: Sticky Fingers by Joe Hagan, Petty by Warren Zanes and Hell’s Angel’s by Hunter S. Thompson. For the record, this is the 379th time I’ve read Hell’s Angel’s and I consider it Hunter Thompson’s finest work.
And as we conclude this 2017 MBIP World Headquarters tour, I’ll leave you with a bastardized quote from one of my favorite movies, Cool Hand Luke: “Sometimes MBIP can be a real cool hand.” We’ll see you all tomorrow!
