There’s tonight’s special guest star and driver, Jim “Vern” Borho, behind the wheel!

We’re out on a rare Friday night for the blog because I have a non-blogging destination on Saturday night to go to.

He’s steering us down Galena Road on our way to Mossville, Illinois, home of tonight’s destination…

The Trust Me Tavern! I’ve seen some facecrack posts about this place lately and I’ve never been here. I’ve driven by it plenty of times, but never stopped in.

Tonight is the night we try out, Trust Me Tavern.

Let’s go in and start this fabulous Friday night in Mossville, Illinois!

Wow, it’s really nice in here and I love all the wood in here. It’s got a nice, rustic feel to it!

There’s Jim settled in at the bar and we have a husband and wife bartending team consisting of Kristie and Eric! Wonderful to see them and we placed our Friday night dinner order with them!

David was seated next to us at the bar and he’s a musician who also works at Caterpillar.

There’s the Saturday night special and the quartet of taps behind the bar.

Large wooden tables are situated behind the bar for your drinking and dining pleasure.

There’s a nice game room behind the dining area with state of the art dart boards and a gambling area in the room over here.

There’s a large beer patio outside and there’s Jim relaxing in one of the wooden throne chairs. All hail King Borho!

Meanwhile, back at the bar…

Our Friday night dinner is served up by Pizza Dave and Kitchen Queen Haley!

We got an order of BBQ chicken wings and they were plump, juicy and very delicious!

We’re off to a fabulous start on this Friday night feast!

I’ve heard good things about the pizza here and they turned out to be true!

We got a half cheese and half mushroom, olive and green pepper pizza and it was so tasty! The pizzas here are made from scratch and they’re absolutely delicious. Thin crust pizza at its finest hour!
