Way back in 2013, I got an invitation to try the cheeseburger at The Publik House in Peoria Heights. Karina who works there sent me a message and said I should try it out. So that’s exactly what I did.

Here’s a birds-eye-view of my Saturday night dinner!
Live, from Peoria Heights, it’s our Saturday night cheeseburger dinner and it looks fabulous!
This is the Firestarter Burger and it’s a burger stuffed with peppers and topped with pepper jack cheese and a chili aiole sauce.
It literally assaults you with a combination of spicy and hot flavors, but it doesn’t go over the top where it’s uncomfortable to eat. They grind their own beef at Publik House, so it’s about the freshest and juiciest burger you’ll find around town.
Add a bakery fresh bun to the mix and you’ve got one of the best burgers in Peoria and beyond.
It was all that and a half a plate of chips! They were house-made, crispy and delicious!
What a fabulous Saturday night dinner!
