Okay, today I’m rehearsing for the upcoming Marty Monologues Show and I thought I’d show you a press clipping that’s going to be part of a press packet you get when you come to the show.
This is it. It’s from my first 15 minutes of fame and this was an article printed in January of 1986 in the “Weekender” section of the Peoria Journal Star.
The Weekender was an entertainment section of the newspaper that was published on Saturday.
This article written by Bill Knight told about how we were going to be on the Today Show the following Monday on January 13th, 1986.
When you come to the upcoming Marty Monologues show you’re going to get a press packet with 15 clippings from my three 15 minutes of fame moments. The clippings are from Spin magazine, Sassy, the NY Post, NY Daily News, Chicago Tribune and others.
The show is going to happen on October 20th at the Apollo Theatre here in Peoria and on Wednesday October 23rd at the Kraine Theater in New York City.
